Find Your Inseam: Height to Inseam Chart for Women

Fit Guide

The right length, not just the right size.

Most brands sell leggings in one length and call it a day. We size by real inseam — from a 15" capri to an extra-long 37" — so you choose where they actually end. Find your height below, then shop that length.

Height to inseam chart

Find your height, then shop that inseam. These are full-length recommendations — if you are shopping bootcut or flare, read the note underneath first.

Inseam Best for height Where it falls Shop
15"–22" Any height Below the knee to mid-calf Capris
25"–28" Under 5'7" Just above the ankle 7/8 Length
29" 5'4"–5'8" Full length, at the ankle Full-Length
31" 5'7"–5'10" Full coverage, no ankle gap 31" Inseam
33" 5'9"–6'0" Full length without riding up 33" Inseam
34" 5'10"–6'1" Full length, a touch longer 34" Inseam
35" 5'11"–6'2" Over the heel, stacked 35" Inseam
37" 6'1" and taller Full over-the-heel length 37" Inseam
Shopping bootcut or flare? Go up one length. A kick flare is meant to sit over the heel, so the same height needs roughly 2" more inseam than it would in a straight legging. That is the difference between a clean, stacked line and a hem that stops short at the ankle. Browse all bootcut & flare yoga pants, or jump straight to tall bootcut.

How to measure your inseam

Two minutes with a tape measure beats guessing. You are measuring the inside of the leg — not the outside, and not your trouser size.

  1. Stand barefoot with your feet together, wearing close-fitting leggings or shorts.
  2. Put the end of the tape at the very top of your inner thigh, where the leg meets the body.
  3. Run the tape straight down the inside of your leg to your ankle bone. That number is your ankle-length inseam.
  4. Prefer to copy a pair you already love? Lay them flat, smooth the leg out, and measure the inside seam from the crotch to the hem.

Between two lengths? Go longer. Four-way stretch fabric gives a little, and a hem can stack — but it can never grow.

Which length suits which style

Capri & 7/8 · 15"–28"

Cropped on purpose. Cooler for summer and hot studios, and the cleanest option if you are under 5'7" and tired of bunching at the ankle.

Full length · 29"–31"

The everyday ankle length. Full coverage for average heights, with a high waistband that stays put through squats and school runs alike.

Extra long · 33"–37"

Made for tall women. Real length for 5'9" and up, and the only way a bootcut or flare hem falls properly over the heel.

Inseam questions, answered

What inseam length should I get for my height?

As a rule of thumb, a 29" inseam gives full ankle coverage at around 5'4"–5'8", 31" suits 5'7"–5'10", 33" suits 5'9"–6'0", 35" suits 5'11"–6'2", and our longest 37" is cut for 6'1" and taller. Leg length varies at the same height, so measuring is always more reliable than height alone.

What counts as a "tall" inseam in women's leggings?

Most brands treat 28"–30" as their longest option and label it tall. We consider anything from 31" upward a genuine tall length, and we go to 37". If standard leggings have always ended above your ankle bone, start at 31".

Do bootcut and flare leggings need a longer inseam?

Yes. Straight and skinny legs are designed to end at the ankle, but a bootcut or flare is designed to break over the top of the foot. Add roughly 2" to the length you would wear in a straight legging — so if you wear a 31" legging, look for a 33" bootcut.

I am between two lengths — should I go shorter or longer?

Go longer, especially in bootcut and flare. Our fabric has four-way stretch and settles slightly with wear, and a marginally long hem reads as intentional. A short hem does not.

Is inseam the same as pant length?

No. Inseam measures only the inside leg seam, from crotch to hem. Overall pant length also includes the rise — the distance from the crotch to the top of the waistband — which is taller on a high-waisted style. Two pairs with the same inseam can look different if the rise differs, but the hem lands in the same place.

What inseam do I need if I am 5'10"?

At 5'10", a 33" inseam gives clean full-length coverage, and 31" works if you like a slightly cropped ankle. For bootcut or flare, move up to 35" so the hem clears the heel.

What inseam do I need if I am 6 feet tall?

Around 6'0", choose a 35" inseam for full length and over-the-heel bootcut styles, or 33" for a straight legging that sits at the ankle. If you are 6'1" or taller, go to 37".

Does the size I order change the inseam?

No. Waist size and inseam are chosen separately, so an XS and an XL in the same style share the same inseam options. You pick your waist size and your length independently.
